These terms

By using FreeCareerPath (“the site”, “we”, “us”) you agree to what's on this page. If you don't agree with it, please don't use the site. Your privacy is covered separately by our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

No guaranteed outcomes

FreeCareerPath provides curated learning roadmaps, practice problems, mock interviews and job-search tooling. We do not guarantee employment, an interview, a salary, or any other career outcome. Nothing here is professional, legal, financial or immigration advice. Following a roadmap is not a substitute for your own judgment, your own effort, and the realities of the market you're applying into.

Your account

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. Use a real email address you control — it's how we'd reach you about your account. You're responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for everything done under your account; tell us promptly if you think someone else has access to it. One account per person, and don't share it.

Certificates

Completion certificates record that you finished a track on this site. They are not an accredited qualification, are not issued by any educational institution, and carry exactly the weight an employer chooses to give them. Each one gets a public verification page showing your name, the track and the issue date. Don't misrepresent a certificate as a degree, a licence, or a credential from anyone but us — we can revoke certificates obtained by circumventing the work they represent.

Acceptable use

Please don't:

• Use the code runner to attack, scan, mine on, or otherwise abuse any system — ours, the execution provider's, or anyone else's.
• Try to break out of the sandbox, exfiltrate hidden test cases or reference solutions, or reverse-engineer the graders.
• Automate, scrape or bulk-download the site beyond ordinary personal use, or work around rate limits and quotas.
• Upload or submit content that is unlawful, hateful, harassing, malicious, or that infringes someone else's rights.
• Impersonate another person, or enter someone else's personal information into the resume or application tools without their say-so.
• Resell, rehost or repackage our roadmap and question content as your own product.

Limits on graded and executed features

Explain Mode grading and mock interview code execution cost real money per submission and depend on outside providers, so they carry per-account quotas and rate limits. We may adjust those limits, change which provider sits behind them, or pause a feature entirely — including for an individual account that is driving abnormal load.

What you write here stays yours

Your resume, your application notes, your code, your explanations — you keep ownership of all of it. You grant us only the permission we need to run the service: to store your content, display it back to you, and pass it to the providers named in the Privacy Policy so a feature you invoked can do its job. If you post something publicly on the site, you're giving us permission to show it publicly. You confirm you have the right to submit whatever you submit.

Our content and code

The site's source code is published under the MIT licence, and you're welcome to use it on those terms. That licence covers the code, not our name, logo, or the curated roadmap, lesson and question content, which stay ours. Personal study, quoting with attribution, and linking are all fine; wholesale republication is not.

Linked resources and third-party services

Roadmap nodes link to third-party resources we don't control or host, and some features run through third-party providers. We curate and choose these in good faith, but we're not responsible for their content, availability, accuracy, or their own terms — which apply to you when you use them.

Availability and warranties

FreeCareerPath is free, actively changing, and provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We may add, change or remove features, and we can't promise the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that your data will never be lost. Keep your own copy of anything you'd be upset to lose — export your resume, and don't treat this as your only record of a job search.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, lost opportunities, or lost data arising from your use of the site. Nothing here limits liability that legally can't be limited, and if you have consumer rights under your local law, these terms don't take them away.

Ending things

You can delete your account at any time. We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or that puts the service or its providers at risk — we'll tell you why where we reasonably can.

Changes

We may update these terms as the product changes, and the date at the top will move. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms; for a material change we'll notify account holders by email.
