Mental math — every day
The arithmetic gate. Optiver and IMC screen on a timed test before a human ever sees you, and it is the single most trainable thing in the whole track — but there is nothing here to understand, only reps. Pick a site below and open it every day.
Do
15–20 minutes every day. Once you pass ~50 on Zetamac, vary the ranges and operations — grinding only the default settings makes you fast at one question distribution, and people typically stall around 55–60.
45–55 on Zetamac default (2 min) is a workable baseline, 55–70 is competitive at most prop firms, 70+ is comfortable even at top market makers. Expect roughly +15–20 points over 3–6 weeks of daily practice. For scale: Optiver's own test is 80 questions in 8 minutes — one every 6 seconds.
